A synthetic strategy to polydimethylsiloxanes and polymethylsiloxanes containing thiol functions as end‐ or side‐groups, respectively, is presented. Such polymers are important starting materials for elastomeric networks and postpolymerization modifications. The synthesis starts either with vinyl end‐functionalized polydimethylsiloxanes or with polymethylvinylsiloxanes. The vinyl groups are reacted either with thioacetic acid or with a thioacetic acid/butanethiol mixture via a UV‐initiated thiol‐ene reaction to form the respective thioester quantitatively within few minutes. The thioesters are subsequently deprotected to the respective thiols by reduction with LiAlH4. The resulting thiol containing polysiloxanes can be used for the formation of networks or another functionalization. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. For more than three decades the catalytic synthesis of acrylates from the cheap and abundantly available C1 building block carbon dioxide and alkenes has been an unsolved problem in catalysis research, both in academia and industry. Herein, we describe a homogeneous catalyst based on nickel that permits the catalytic synthesis of the industrially highly relevant acrylate sodium acrylate from CO2, ethylene, and a base, as demonstrated, at this stage, by a turnover number of greater than 10 with respect to the metal.  相似文献

In this note we discuss the solvability of Liouville-type systems in presence of singular sources, which arise from the study of non-abelian Chern Simons vortices in Gauge Field Theory and their asymptotic behaviour (for limiting values of the physical parameters). This investigation has contributed towards the understanding of singular PDE ’s in Mean Field form, in connection to surfaces with conical singularities, sharp Moser–Trudinger and log(HLS)-inequalities, bubbling phenomena and point-wise profile estimates in terms of Harnack type inequalities. We shall emphasise mostly the physical impact of the rigorous mathematical results established and mention several of the remaining open problems.  相似文献

Smart systems adapt to the surrounding environments in a number of ways. They are capable to scavenge energy from available sources, sense and elaborate external stimuli and adequately react. Electro Active Polymers are playing a main role in the realization of smart systems for applications if fields such as bio inspired and autonomous robotics, medicine, and aerospace. This paper focus on the possibility to use Ionic Polymer Metal Composites as a class of materials relevant to the realization of post silicon smart systems. The three main aspects of this new technology, i.e., fabrication methods, modeling, and applications are described with emphasis to most recent results. Attention is given to main challenges and shortcomings to be solved for technology, modelling, and control of IPMC based devices that need to be solved before this new technology can be fully exploited in real world applications. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of 25 phenol derivative compounds having potential antioxidant capacity were studied by cyclic voltammetry and square-wave voltammetry, in order to estimate the electrochemical parameters of the redox process occurring at the graphite electrode. A correlation between the structure of phenol derivatives, the peak potential, the HOMO–LUMO gap and their antioxidant activity lead to a qualitative classification of the studied compounds as a function of the increase of their antioxidant capacity.  相似文献

Abstract

Enantiomerically pure 2-hydroxyalkyl, 2-aminoalkyl and 2-iminoalkyl ferrocenyl p-tolylsulfides are easily prepared in good yields and with complete diastereocontrol from (S)-(2-p-tolylthio)ferrocencarboxyaldehyde. 2-Iminoalkyl ferrocenyl derivatives can be used as ligands in asymmetric catalysis and as starting materials for asymmetric Staudinger reaction.  相似文献

A comprehensive survey of matrix effects on the LC–MS/MS analysis of the banned antibiotic growth promoters carbadox and olaquindox in feed was carried out. Various factors of sample preparation procedure and measurement were systematically investigated by pre- and post-extraction addition and postcolumn infusion experiments. In general, strong signal suppression up to 70 % for carbadox and up to 90 % for olaquindox was observed when using different extraction solvents and techniques as well as different chromatographic conditions. Reduction of matrix effects was achieved by SPE clean-up and dilution of sample extracts. Nevertheless, matrix effect profiles determined by postcolumn infusion revealed, that reduction of signal suppression at a respective retention time cannot guarantee improvement of the methods performance. If high variability of matrix effects is present along the chromatographic run, accuracy might decrease despite reduced signal suppression. Besides method parameters, different feedingstuffs were investigated and showed similar matrix effects.
